Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Naples donates furniture to Lighthouse of Collier

Naples, FL – July 7, 2026

Lighthouse of Collier (LOC) proudly recognizes Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Naples for its recent act of kindness. It donated a couch, three double-wide chairs, 30 individual chairs, and ten side tables to our organization. Bascom Palmer’s charitable donation replaced chairs at our facility that had become worn and outdated. The replacement of the aging furniture has significantly improved the comfort and overall atmosphere of our facility.

Lighthouse of Collier extends its sincere gratitude to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Dr. Richard Peterman, and Lighthouse staff member Cynthia Eddy for their efforts in coordinating and facilitating this generous contribution. We are especially appreciative of the Bascom nurses and staff members who spent an entire afternoon loading and unloading furniture in the summer heat, as well as the Lighthouse of Collier employees who assisted with unloading and setup. Their teamwork and dedication are deeply appreciated.

The donation has certainly not gone unnoticed. Clients, staff, and visitors have already commented on the beautiful transformation within our facility. The updated furnishings have created a more welcoming and comfortable environment, while also providing a more spacious lobby and ample seating in our multipurpose room.

We extend our sincere thanks once again to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for its generosity, partnership, and shared commitment to improving the lives of individuals living with vision loss. The relationship between our two organizations reflects a common mission of compassion, service, and community support. We are truly grateful for their continued collaboration.
