Naples, FL – December 11, 2025
Lighthouse of Collier is pleased to announce a new addition to its team. Victoria Scott started her role as the Fund Development & Public Relations Manager of LOC Dec. 1. She is originally from Morristown, New Jersey, but now calls Naples, Florida, home. Victoria is an award-winning journalist and communications professional. She worked for NBC and Fox affiliates before transitioning out of broadcasting. Victoria currently writes for Naples Illustrated on a freelance basis. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Rollins College in 2019. However, she took an interest in journalism during her senior year of college. Victoria worked in New York City for a bit and later earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Miami in 2021.
Victoria is a passionate storyteller who likes to make a positive difference in her community. For example, she won a Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists award for a story she did on a special needs school in Panama City, Florida. Visible mold was removed from the school because of her reporting. She also helped a Charlotte County community get rid of a growing debris crisis after Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
She is looking forward to being a part of the LOC team and improving the lives of the blind and visually impaired in Collier County. Victoria enjoys spending time with her family and fiancé in her free time. She also loves horses, traveling, and the beach.
The mission of the Lighthouse of Collier is to foster independence and enhance the quality of life for the blind, visually impaired, and their caregivers. To learn more about Lighthouse of Collier please visit https://lighthouseofcollier.org/events.htm 239-430-EYE4 (3934). ###
